Social rowing for men and women continues on Sunday mornings at 7.30 a.m.. Sessions usually last about an hour, depending on how you feel from the night before !!  No experience is neccessary as we have some experienced people to help you along. Those wanting to try out come along at 7.15 a.m so we can familiarize you with the equipment and technique. Afterwards stay and have a coffee , toast and a chat, or else just come down around 8.30 for just a coffee , toast and a chat. Your most Welcome.

Weekly rowing  still remains on Monday , Wednesday , Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. during summer and winter, weather permitting  but times may change when daylight saving cuts in.

Floods:  2021-22 saw Covid, 2022-23,we have floods. Regatta's cancelled , Club room completely flooded even though we took preventive measures inside . All the memorabilia was moved into safe storage , Fridges from the Kitchen and Bar were placed on pallets above 1974 flood level in anticipation of seepage but not expecting flooding of a burst storm drain under the shed that lifted the concrete flood and will have to be replaced. We anticipate it will be at least all this year and perhaps into next year 2024 that the Club Rooms and the Mary Ann Reserve will be functionable

Rowing  : Has resumed Monday , Wednesday Thursday mornings at 7.am besides Sundays, weather permitting, after being not able to access the shed during the flooding.

It was disappointing that of the 70 odd students in year 8,9,and 10 from the Mannum Community College who participated on the rowing machines, not one took up the offer to go to the next level of trying out on the water.

A  Defibrillator was acquired through Clubs S.A. and is situated at the front of the Club Rooms together with signage.

The Sounds by the River , that was a good fundraiser was held at the golf club this year, so we did not participate. 2024 is supposed to be back at the Reserve ,but have doubts it will be ready.

The NEW ! Floating Pontoon that had a few issue's is ideal for rowing use not having to raise and lower. It's about the only thing that survived.

The AGM was held on 23rd t July with a good attendance . See Home page for Details.

At this meeting Robert Booth was awarded Life Membership for his contribution to the Club both actively and socially. It is anticipated to present this award possibly at the re-commissioning of the club rooms when all repairs are completed.

Due to the COVID 19 Virus all regatta's in 2020-21 were cancelled together with all other sports and gatherings. We can say that the Mannum Regatta had been held every year since 1911 apart from the War Years , Floods and occasional rough weather . We can now add to that, Cancelled due to the Covid Virus and More Floods.

Work that had been under taken to improve the Club Rooms with a ceiling etc has come to a stand still until Council decide what to do with the floor and Kitchen Replacement which was removed for fear of mould.

As of Feb 2024 Mary Ann reserve has been reinstated with lawn etc, However the Club Rooms are still being evaluated of the damage and still non functional. At least we can get to go for a row 4 times a week. Will still be months before any progress starts on re-building with the shortness of trades people.  The Committee would like to thank all that have offered their support particular the Adelaide Rowing Clubs.
